Dr. Solmaz Saghari is a dedicated Psychological Associate at Bernous Psychology Services, working under the supervision of Dr. Bernous. With a rich background in medicine, psychology, and business, she has built her expertise through diverse academic and professional experiences. Dr. Solmaz earned her MD in Iran, deepening her understanding of the interplay between physical and mental health, and further advanced her education with a PsyD and a Master of Medical Management, MMM from the University of Southern California, along with an MBA and DBA. This unique combination enables her to integrate clinical practice with a comprehensive grasp of healthcare systems and organizational dynamics.
Committed to a holistic approach to well-being, Dr. Solmaz uses evidence-based treatments to help clients navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life transitions. She believes that effective care requires understanding the whole human being by integrating physical health, emotional well-being, and social context into every treatment plan. Her work as a volunteer physician supporting domestic violence survivors and traumatized women, combined with 15+ years of charity work in residential children’s care, has deepened her understanding of early-life adversity and its lasting impacts.
Dr. Solmaz is also passionate about helping individuals and couples overcome relational challenges, from intimacy and communication issues to emotional disconnect. Moreover, she leverages her business and management expertise to support clients facing professional and career-related obstacles, and she extends her compassionate care to those navigating immigration challenges, recognizing the unique cultural, emotional, and logistical hurdles involved.
